The Cricket Captains were #6 Layne Parks, #16 Will Jenkins, #73 Richie “The Hulk” Trout, and #80 Logan Seward. Etowah won the coin toss and wanted the ball. The Cricket defense went right to work, as they have each game this season – so far so good. The Knights were sent three and out. With the football now in the hands of the offense, let’s set the stage. On Loudon’s first offensive play of the day, #88 Jacob Crabtree goes the distance, 51 yards for the touchdown! #26 Dylan “Pickle” Russell adds the two point conversion. Later in the first quarter Crabtree weaves through the Knight defense for his second touchdown of the day, a three yarder. In the second period, “Pickle” Russell got loose on a 13 yard TD scamper mid-way through the quarter. Putting an exclamation point on the day – Crabtree posts his third score. Getting in on the action, #32 Dylan “Cucumber” Russell rings up the conversion points.

Crabtree and “Pickle” teamed up for another powerful offensive performance. Jacob Crabtree carried nine times for 106 yds and three TD’s, while “Pickle” Russell added 101 yds on 12 carries with one TD. Not a bad day at the office.

Outstanding defenders were #22 Jesse Smallen with seven tackles, #23 Isaiah Lowe added five stops, and #61 Cody Townson was his usual bad self with five tackles as well.

The Crickets (4-0) shut out the Knights in three quarters and generated total offense of 266 yards on 30 rushes for four touchdowns, and two 2-point conversions.
