It’s Homecoming 2005, and the Loudon Redskins hosted the Oliver Springs Bobcats at “Chig Ratledge Stadium, Dukes Field Home of the Loudon Redskins”.

On behalf Principal Mr. John Bartlett, Loudon High School would like to welcome all alumni and fans to tonight’s game. Everyone in attendance enjoyed the mild, mid October weather. We’re sure you remember the dress-up days, all the activities at school, building your class float and the pep rally during school. And who could forget the football game. Loudon High School has been playing football since 1923.

But first, it was homecoming week on the campus of Loudon High School. Several special events were sponsored by Principal Bartlett, they included:

  • Tuesday – Pajama Day/College Day
  • Wednesday – Salad Dressing Day
  • Thursday – Lawyer Day/Crazy Plaid Day & Olympics
  • Friday – Red & White Day

On Thursday, the Olympics included: a water balloon toss, toilet paper relay, 40 yard dash, spinning baseball bat relay, 3-legged race, powder-puff football game, and tug-of-war. On Friday, Red & White Day ended with a pep rally, and the Cheerleading and the Dance Team also performed. The individual classes have also spent the week working on their respective floats.

The Homecoming Parade started at the old Jr. High School and proceeded down highway 11, to its final destination of LHS. Included in the parade were: the Dance Team, Varsity Cheerleaders, ROTC, marching band, class floats, 2004 Queen Miss Shalee Lyle, and the 2005 candidates who all traveled in convertible sports cars.
