Section 1: Eligibilty - PLEASE READ FIRST |

It was decided by the volunteer staff at loudonfootball.com in February of 2004 that deceased persons must meet the following requirements to qualify for a memorial on this website:
- The deceased must have died after February of 2004.
- The person in question must have been a current or former Redskin football player, coach, manager, trainer, or must have volunteered time to the Loudon football program directly in some MAJOR way.
- The person must have been a current Quarterback Club player or cheerleader, a current or former officer or coach, or must have directly volunteered time to the Loudon Quarterback Club in some MAJOR way.
- A word about volunteers: As far as those who volunteered time to either program go, approval for a website memorial will be a subjective decision made by the website staff on a case-by-case basis after a discussion of the matter. Though there are people who have given many years of their life to Loudon football and are worthy of a memorial on this site, there will probably be individuals who we deny a memorial to based on length of service time and/or the importance of what they did. For example, someone who kept stats for the Redskins for twenty-five years would definitely be entitled to a memorial; whereas, someone who worked in the concession stand for five games back in 1993 would not get a memorial. It may sound mean to say, but not all volunteer service is the same. Some give much more of themselves than others. Some are entitled to special mention on this site; others are not. This is not to to imply that the existential value of certain people is greater than others; it simply means that the volunteer value of certain people is greater than others.
The following do not qualify for memorials:
- Current or former Loudon High School Cheerleaders
- Current or former dance team members
- Current or former band members
Simply being a current or former Loudon student or teacher, or being a regular attendee of games will not qualify one for a memorial. The main focus of this website is Loudon FOOTBALL coverage. Though Loudon High School football in particular is a (if not the) major aspect of this site, this is not a site that focuses on Loudon High School in general.
The reason this statement of eligibility is posted here is to stop any "Well, you did a memorial for this person, why haven't you done one for that person?" kind of stuff. As of the posting of this notice (April 3rd, 2004), this type of question had already been put to the staff of loudonfootball.com in relation to a student who had died about a month previous.
If your deceased loved one meets the above requirements, and you would like to have a memorial posted on this site for that person, please submit the memorial application within sixty days of the time of death. Applications submitted later than sixty days of the time of death will not be considered.
All aspects of layout - font sizes, pictures sizes, location of pictures, editing/corrections to submitted eulogies, etc. - will be entirely the choice of the webmaster and will not be edited later except for misspellings and other minor corrections.

Section 4: Image/File Uploads | |
You may upload four (no more) images for a memorial. Image files must be no larger than 1000 kilobytes per image and of the .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .tif, .tiff, .png, or .bmp formats. This form will not accept image files of other types. You may also upload text files if you feel it necessary. Text files must be of the .txt, .doc, or .wpd formats. No others can be processed with this program. |
