The Loudon Crickets (2-7) played an excellent game. The first quarter went scoreless. #24 Brandon Burnette drew first blood on a 35 yard sweep. Later in the second period, Madisonville matched Loudon's score; at the half the score was six to six. The third period was a defensive struggle, as neither team could muster a score. Burnette #24, was at it again; this time he snuck in from the three yard line. Touchdown Loudon Crickets! The Tornadoes were not satisfied and were on the move. The clock was becoming their enemy, as seconds were ticking away. The Cricket "D" was up to the task and held Madisonville short of the goal line as time expired. #1 Roger "The Dodger" Waddell recovered a fumble, as did teammate #3 Jordan Davis. The Offensive Player of the Game was awarded to #24 Brandon Burnette, and #2 Shandon Lyle was named the Defensive Player of the Game. Total offense was 143 yards on 25 carries. Although they didn't make the play-offs, the Loudon Crickets (3-7) savored their 12-6 win in the final game of the season.
