After a slow start, the Loudon Hoppers finally got things rolling. #21 Zach Sellers "took home" a 66 yard touchdown. #39 Caleb Russell bullied in from the two yard line. These two scores late in the first quarter propelled the Loudon Hoppers momentum. In the second period, the Hoppers took to the air. #8 Sam Eldridge grabbed a 23 yard aerial, and #39 Caleb Russell caught a nine yard touchdown pass, both on halfback passes from #36 Trey Townsend. At the half, the Loudon Hoppers are leading 18-0. The Tornadoes put up six points in the third quarter, making the score 18-6. The fourth stanza saw #20 Brandon Tallent scoot for a 23 yard touchdown blast. On the defensive side of the ball: #36 Trey Townsend, #79 Jefferson McQueen, and #14 Justin Franklin all recovered Madisonville fumbles. #21 Zach Sellers and #36 Townsend both intercepted passes. Cornerback #52 Eric Coffman broke up the 2-pt. conversion pass attempt. All the extra point after touchdowns attempts were place kicks by #72 Tyler Walters. Good job Tyler, you'll make one next game! The Hoppers had 243 yards rushing on 38 carries for (3) TD's and two receptions for 32 yards and (1) TD. Total offense was 275 yards. The Offensive Player of the Game was awarded to #20 Brandon Tallent, and #36 Trey Townsend was named the Defensive Player of the Game. The Loudon Hoppers (10-0) run the table, going undefeated in the regular season! As the #1 seed, the Hoppers will play #4 seed Polk Co. (7-3).
