In the battle of the unbeatens, the Loudon Hoppers (4-0) took on the Riceville Wildcat Hoppers (4-0). In the end it turned out to be anticlimactical, as the outcome of the game was never in question. The first stanza went scoreless, as both teams felt each other out. #39 Caleb Russell was the hammer, as he put up two quick strikes of 25 and 27 yards respectively, as the Loudon Hoppers cruised into halftime, leading 12-0. The "Big Red" defense frustrated the Wildcats all day. A three play goal line stand from the two yard line denied the 'Cats paydirt. Russell was not finished yet, a six yard touchdown in the fourth period finished off the scoring and the Wildcats as well. Head Coach David Matlock will have his squad ready to travel to Sweetwater next Saturday. The Hoppers had 260 yards of total offense on 28 carries.
