The Mustangs were playing up hill the entire game. Madisonville posted an early touchdown in the first quarter. The Mustang "D" thwarted the conversion attempt. Loudon moved the ball well between the 20's, but just couldn't punch it in. In fact, two touchdowns were called back due to penalties. Late in the fourth period, the Tornados got away and ran in a long touchdown. #4 Zack Franklin snuck in from the one yard line, the 2-pt. conversion was posted by #27 Wade Plemons. In kickoff formation, the Mustangs attempted an on-sides kick. The kick didn't go the required 10 yards before Loudon recovered it. First and 10, Tornados. All Madisonville had to do was take a knee and run out the clock. The Offensive Player of the Game was awarded to #27 Wade Plemons, and #54 Alex Lennex was named as the Defensive Player of the Game. The ‘Stangs gained 175 yards rushing on 30 attempts and 34 yards passing on three receptions for 209 yards of total offense. The Mustangs (8-2) fall, 12 to 8. The Loudon Mustangs (8-2) were locked in a three way tie for first place; they drew the #1 seed, and will play #4 seed Polk Co. (6-4). The game will be played at Sequoyah High School at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November the 8th. Note: The regular season game against Polk Co. was won by your Loudon Mustangs 16-0, in week No. 8.
