The Mustangs started the game on offense, but had trouble moving the ball. Late in the second stanza, #4 quarterback Zack Franklin was back to pass. Josh Thompson #6 ran a fade route to the back of the endzone. It was a jump ball... coming down between two defenders was Thompson. Touchdown Mustangs! With 5.4 seconds left in the half, #27 Wade Plemons made good on the extra points. Eight to nothing at the intermission, Loudon Mustangs. The third period was a defensive battle and went scoreless. Mid-way through the fourth and final quarter, Loudon put together a nice drive capped off by #4 Zack Franklin, who snuck in from the one yard line. #27 Wade Plemons posted his second 2-pt. conversion of the day. Quarterback Franklin had an especially good game; running for a touchdown and passing for another. The ‘Stangs gained 139 yards rushing on 31 attempts and 38 yards passing on four receptions for 177 yards of total offense. The Mustangs (7-1) claim the victory, 16 to 0.
