Set to kick-off, Hensley kicked an on-sides kick that was recovered by #27 Wade Plemons. The Mustangs promptly put eight points on the board. The Bears didn’t learn their lesson the first time. Hensley did the same thing on the ensuing kick-off, this time it was recovered by #57 Cody Crass. This turnover padded the score with eight more points. #10 Nick Brown scored both of those TD’s and posted another in the second period. The Mustangs are leading 24 to nothing at the half. #27 Wade Plemons scrambled for a 55 yard touchdown midway through the third stanza to finish the scoring and the Bears.
