Scoring Summary
  1st 2nd 3rd 4th Final
Crickets 8 0 0 0 8
Sweetwater 8 6 0 0 14
The #2 seed Loudon Crickets (10-2) verses the #1 seed Sweetwater Wildcat Crickets (12-0) kicked off at 4:00pm in Vonore. Now that’s high drama, your Loudon Crickets lost to the ‘Cats 12-20, in week #6 of the regular season. Loudon has a chance to avenge that loss and claim the Championship trophy in the process.

Loudon won the coin toss, and wanted the football. Starting on offense, #8 Jack “The Ironman” Nichols II rushed two times for 21 yards and a first down. #24 “Double J” Joshua “Action” Jackson worked his magic, going the distance from the 45 yard line! Touchdown Loudon Crickets! #8 Jack “The Ironman” Nichols II bullied over for the 2-point conversion. Scoring in three plays on their first drive, the Crickets were looking good.

The Wildcats answered with a 10 play drive that climaxed in a 16 yard QB keeper by #12 Andrew Barr. With the extra points the ‘Cats tied up the score 8-8. The clock showed 1:05 left in the first quarter. The Loudon running backs developed fumble-idus. Fumbling on consecutive plays, and loosing the second one to Sweetwater, which cost valuable field position and the possession of the football.

The Wildcats were on the move again, they started a drive that spanned the first and second periods. Seven plays yielded pay dirt. #44 Terrell Johnson scooted across the goal line from the three yard line. The conversion attempt was thwarted by the “Ironman”.

That score 14-8 Sweetwater, would be the half time score.

The second half was much like the first, sans the scoring. There were no points scored in the second half. Sweetwater opened the third period three and out. After the Wildcat punt, Loudon stalled out on downs, turning the ball over on the Sweetwater 22 yard line. The ‘Cats drove all the way down to the Redskin 17 yard line before the Loudon Cricket defense stiffened, turning the football over to the offense. There was now 4:51 left in the fourth stanza. Loudon earned a first down, but found themselves facing fourth down and six. The Wildcat defense had other ideas though, as they threw Jackson for a -6 yard loss.

Sweetwater took over on downs at the Redskin 33 yard line with 1:49 left in the game. The Loudon defense kept the Wildcats out of the end zone as time expired. It was a very well played ball game, with both teams giving excellent effort… just what you would expect in a Championship game.

The defense was led by #8 Jack “The Ironman” Nichols II posting 11 tackles, #94 Dylan “Pickle” Russell added nine knockdowns, and #46 Jake “Unit 1” Mashburn and #24 “Double J” Joshua “Action” Jackson contributed eight stops each.

The Crickets (10-3) rushed for 119 yards on 20 attempts for one touchdown and one 2-point conversion.

The Offensive MVP was #24 “Double J” Joshua “Action” Jackson, while the Defensive MVP went to #6 Macklin “The Mac Attack” Russell.

The final score of this Championship Game was 8-14, the Sweetwater Wildcat Crickets (13-0).
