The Loudon Crickets were in serious need of a “W”, to halt a two game losing skid. A playoff spot is a very attainable goal; your Crickets are still in good position to earn a post season bid (they are currently ranked 2nd in the Cricket division). L.C. went first on offense, they were three and out. After the Panther punt, the Loudon Crickets had the football first and ten, on the 50-yard line. On the first offensive play, lightning struck… #24 “Double J” Joshua “Action” Jackson bolted in from 50-yards out. Touchdown Loudon Crickets! Jackson would score again in the second period, a three yarder. There was just 0:37 seconds left in the first half.
The second half would pass scoreless, in large part due to the Cricket “D”. The Panthers never really mounted a serious threat. The defense was led by #94 Dylan “Pickle” Russell with seven takedowns and a fumble recovery, #24 Joshua Jackson posted five stops, #46 Jake “Unit 1” Mashburn and #37 Justice Choate added four tackles each. The Crickets rushed for 117 yards on 21 attempts for two touchdowns and a 2-pt. conversion. For the Panthers, #12 Jonah Hartline and #35 Jaylond Woods played well on both sides of the ball.
