The Loudon Crickets burned the Polk Co. Wildcats to the tune of seven touchdowns! It was 30-0 at the half, the game was called at the end of the third quarter, and the final score was 48-16.
#24 “Double J” Joshua “Action” Jackson scored six touchdowns on runs of 15, 35, 79, 46, 52, and 62 yards! #8 Jack “The Iron Man” Nichols II posted a 65 yard touchdown run on the first play of the second half.
With 45 football players on the Loudon Cricket team, getting enough playing time sometimes is a problem. The third stanza was played almost entirely by the younger players; they were able to gain some valuable game experience.
The Cricket defense was led by #8 Jack “The Iron Man” Nichols II with five tackles and a fumble recovery, #34 Isaiah Lowe added four takedowns.
The Crickets had 22 rushes for 445 yards, seven touchdowns, and three 2-point conversions.
