The Hoppers started on offense, with #36 Jake “The Snake” Mourfield going the distance on the first play of the game, a 65 yard touchdown gold rush! Turn out the lights… the party’s over (for Etowah, that is). But the party was just getting started for our Loudon Hoppers, they scored early and often. Mourfield added another touchdown of 55 yards. Not to be out done, #20 Brandon Tallent posted four touchdown scampers (2 of 55 yds each and also a 10 yarder). Swarming defense, led by #20 Brandon Tallent with five tackles, #68 Cody Manis and #71 Alex “The Kingpin” Silvey with four tackles each, keep the Knight’s offense flustered and out of sink all afternoon. Our Hoppers posted 18 rushes for 321 yards, six touchdowns, and two 2-pt. conversions. Quarterback, #3 Justin Franklin passed two yards to #39 Ryano McNabb, who was stopped short on a 2-pt. conversion attempt.
