The Hoppers started on offense, but could not generate any momentum. In fact neither team could get anything going. It was obvious that it was going to be a low scoring, defensive game. The first and second periods pasted scoreless. It seemed penalties added to the Hoppers woes. To open the second half, the Cherokees were three and out. After their (G’back) punt, Loudon returned the favor. The Greenback offense promptly marched down the field putting up a 37 yard touchdown run by #2 Richard Seymour, he also added the 2-pt. conversion. The 4th period was also a stalemate. That’s how it would end, the Hoppers’ winning streak ends at 15 games, dating back to November 2, 2002 (a 6-0 loss to Tellico). I have a feeling we’ll see the G’back Hoppers in the post season. Our Hoppers posted 23 rushes for 79 yards.
