(Oct. 5, 2002) By Jeff McQueen, the "Voice of the Hill"

The Loudon Quarterback Club cheerleaders and football teams were the guest of head coach Jeff Harig. In a pre-game ceremony, the coaches, players, and their respective records were inroduced. The teams lined up on the visitor's sideline and streamed across the field as they wre announced. With everyone wearing their jerseys/uniforms, there was a sea of red on the field.

The Redskins have spent the last three weeks playing some of the highest ranked teams in the state (A-E: 4-1; Sweetwater: 6-0; Fulton: 6-0).  The 'Skins have consistently improved during this stretch, and almost upset Fulton in the process.  The offense came to life with 181 total yds and scored three TD's.  The defense recorded a safety and returned a fumble for a 60 yd. score.

TD, and #23 Ronnie Collins caught a 52 yd. scoring pass.  Loudon answered with two scores.  #1 Patric Johnson and #2 Chad Oody each broke the goal line.  At the half, the Redskins were up 21 to 20.

Loudon took the second half kickoff and marched down the field on an eleven-play, six-minute drive, capped off with a 1 yd. TD plunge by #1 Patric Johnson, scoring his 2nd TD of the night.  Fulton tied and went ahead in the 4th quarter with two rushing TD's of 57 and 21 yds respectively.  Final score, in a heartbreaker, Fulton 35, Loudon 28.
