The Redskins traveled to Roane County, to take on the Kingston Yellow Jackets. The Jackets are a very familiar foe to the Big Red. In fact Loudon has played Kingston 64 times in their storied history. Before tonight's contest, the 'Skins hold a 35-25-3 record against the Yellow Jackets. The Redskins have played Kingston every year since 1957.

The LHS Captains for the contest were: #63 Lee Sarten, #52 Matt Brown, #31 Chris Hutchens, and #51 Clay Matlock. The 'Skins won the toss and wanted the ball, although they couldn't sustain a drive, #62 Marty Branum got off a nice punt. From there it took Kingston just two plays to score. #34 Chad Johnson gained 69 yards on two runs and a touchdown. With the #1 Drew McMillin PAT, the score was seven to nothing. It would take the Big Red the rest of the first period to recover from that quick strike. Loudon settled down and put together a nice nine play drive in the second stanza, culminating in a three yard touchdown by #1 Partic Johnson. The PAT attempt by #15 Yoni Espinoza was blocked. With just seconds left in the half, Kingston was in field goal formation to attempt a 25 yarder. Off the edge, #7 Chase Randolph, came clean and blocked the kick!

At the half, the Jackets lead seven to six.

The Redskins kicked off to begin the second half. The Big Red defense forced a Jacket punt. Loudon was on the move, but bogged down on the 17 yard line. Out came the field goal team. #7 Chase Randolph was the holder, on a called fake, he rounded the right side and burned the Yellow Jackets for a 17 yard gold rush! Under center, #4 Cody Fritts ran a keeper for the two point conversion. 14 to 7, Big Red! Kingston tied the game on a two yard touchdown by #34 Chad Johnson in the fourth quarter. Coach King dug deep into his play book and came up with a double pass play. The quarterback, #11 Rock Gurney threw a swing pass to the halfback, who in turn threw it back to Gurney, who streaked down the sideline for a 91 yard touchdown. The Yellow Jackets take the regional contest by the final score of 21-14.
